Welcome to this zoo.  Thanks for swinging by, and for giving me the opportunity to woo you with my clever thoughts and zany brain.  With my hard truths and my too-personal posts, and my thoughts on writing and reading and editing.

You will be able to see here what you like about me, maybe how you can put me to use, or maybe how my words make you feel good, or like part of a community, or affirmed.

I’m a seasoned writer, and I have lived more life than some people my age.  Less than others.  I’m working on two novels and a pile of personal essays, because what you readers like to read–you tell me this by visiting my site–are things like this, and this, and this.

I like to write things like that.  But I also like to write for money.  Look here for stuff I’ve written for money.
